This expansion project entails the addition of a 70,000-seat multi-purpose convention and entertainment facility which provides an additional 150,000 SF of exhibition space and 80,000 SF of break-out meeting room space. The new multi-purpose facility has a direct internal connection to the existing complex but with the ability to function separately. It is flexible through various seating configurations, accommodates 70,000 spectators for viewing football, 35,000 for viewing basketball and 17,000 for attending a concert.
The multi-purpose facility incorporates state-of-the-art technological advances in LED video board display, interactive technology centers, “Smart Seats” and a mechanized synthetic turf system that can convert from a football event to a hard floor exhibit function in less than thirty minutes
