As part of a joint venture, H.J. Russell & Company provided engineering and field supervision for this state-of-the-art convention center expansion which took place while maintaining existing center operations. Complex challenges included a heavily congested urban site, significant utility relocations, historic structure preservation, and environmental remediation.
Highlights of the expansion include:
- 348,000 SF of exhibit hall
- 220,000 SF ballroom
- 198,000 SF, 532-space parking garage
- 125,000 SF central plant
