Grady Hospital is the premier trauma facility in the Southeast region.  The renovation and expansion of the 14-building, 2.3 million s.f. hospital campus was designed to meet two primary goals:

  • Enhance Grady's image in the community by refurbishing the outer
facade and updating the interior décor
  • Create an environment which preserves patient dignity and better supports Grady's staff

The project involved 376,000 s.f. of new construction and the reconfiguration of 1.9 million s.f. of the existing 21-story hospital. Construction proceeded at a steady pace allowing the continued full function of the hospital while the renovations/additions were being completed.
