The Hughes Spalding Campus Redevelopment project entails the construction of a new 71,000 SF children's hospital and renovation of 7,000 SF of existing structure. It is a phased project with construction of the new hospital first, followed by demolition of the existing hospital, and finally connection of the new facility to a partiallly renovated existing structure. The first floor of the new hospital will house an emergency department, walk-in clinic, primary care clinic, radiology department, and cafe'. The second floor will contain a specialty clinic, lab, and shell space. The third floor will have a 24-bed in-patient unit and support areas. The renovated floor of the existing building will house the pharmacy and support departments.
