In addition to extensive pre-construction services including value engineering, scheduling, design review, master plan review/adaptation, this $70 Million project consists of site selection, land acquisition, programming, design and construction of a new City Justice Center for the City of St Louis. This 732-bed, 7-story, 325,000 s.f. facility includes a jail, pre-trial, and two courthouse facilities connected by an underground passageway in the heart of downtown St. Louis.

Building support consists of the first two floors that house Intake & Release, Inmate Processing, Food Service, Laundry, Sheriff Administration & Transfer, Health Services and Public/Visitation Areas. The remaining floors are Inmate housing that consist of four housing pods per floor, each with a mezzanine level, a dayroom, and a recreation unit. Each floor is approximately 40,000 s.f.. A vertical spine provides for the smooth flow of people throughout the facility and minimizes public and correctional traffic interaction.
