This design-build parking deck utilizes pre-stressed, pre-topped structural precast supported on a deep foundation system for the frame. The precast façade incorporates reveals and sandblast texture to soften the major elements of the façade and uses the campus’s forest green color to assimilate the deck into the architecture of the campus. The deck includes provisions for future expansion, secured entrances for holiday and weekends, as well as provisions to incorporate both security cameras and emergency Blue Phones.
Passive security features include shear walls on the exterior of the deck with punched openings, glassed backed elevators with windows in the elevator shaft, and open stairwells with punched openings for more visibility.
