Central Broward Regional Park is an 110-acre park featuring a 5,000 seat multi-purpose stadium; a 17,000 SF two-level field house; four soccer fields; a twelve acre lake; an aquatic facility with a 4,500 SF administration building, two water playgrounds, and a learn to swim pool . The park’s amenities also include tennis courts, basketball courts; netball courts; over three miles of nature trails, walking paths, and bicycling paths with two corporate shelters.
The Central Broward Regional Park project is a design/build project which is centered around the first 5,000 seat cricket stadium to be built within the United States. H. J. Russell & Company was the Construction Manager of this lump sum project, building the $47,000,000 park in just over ten months. The park was completed one month early and within budget. The County took advantage of the early completion of the park and added approximately $4,000,000 worth of upgrades.
