New home to the NBA Atlanta Hawks and the NHL Atlanta Thrashers, this state-of-the-art facility is located in downtown Atlanta. The Arena provides seating for 20,000 with 100 luxury suites for private or corporate use and hosts sporting events, concerts, and various other entertainment/exhibit functions. Complex challenges faced the construction team including demolition and clearing of the old arena; reworking the underground infrastructure; resolving traffic flow problems; and coordinating with City officials and private enterprise.
