The new residence halls at Georgia Southwestern State University consist of 300 beds/150 student (two-bedroom semi-private, one-bath) residences. The units are distributed throughout two symmetrical courtyard buildings. The new buildings are three stories, clad in brick throughout. The Resident Manager apartment is a two-bedroom, two-bath apartment with a dining room, kitchen, and adequate storage. Study rooms and common space are distributed throughout each building. The two-bedroom unit layouts include a semi-private bathroom. The bedroom areas have been sized to accommodate a single bed, and additional furnishings/features include: a solid core lockable door w/ a deadbolt, night stand, dresser, bookcase, minimum 4'-0" clothes hanging space, desk with file and drawer space to accommodate a computer, modem and printer, a study space, study chair, blinds for the windows, acoustical sound insulation in the walls and carpet flooring/carpet tiles. Each bedroom has one cable port, telephone line and data port.
