UNCC’s new 180,000-square-foot residence hall will house approximately 431 students on the campus. There will be two and four bedroom apartments and suites that contain shared bathrooms, full kitchen, and a living room. Additionally, there will be a spacious lobby, mailbox area, laundry rooms, study rooms, and recreation spaces, plus a semi-enclosed exterior courtyard with paved areas for seating. Building administration areas will include offices and separate apartments for residence life staff as well as a central reception counter at the main entrance. This project is slated to be granted LEED Silver certification.
