Former home of the NFL’s Atlanta Falcons, this multi-purpose 70,500-seat cable-supported domed stadium provided over 1,600,000 square feet of floor area on a 42-acre site in downtown Atlanta. The facility was designed to accommodate major sporting events including the Super Bowl, but it functioned equally as well in hosting major vendor exhibitions, political conventions, and concert events. The Georgia Dome construction schedule was one of the most aggressive ever attempted and required $300,000 of work put in place every day. It was completed in a mere 29 months.
