
Hartsfield-Jackson Celebrates Opening of New South Red Deck
Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport celebrated the completion of its new South Red Deck with a ribbon-cutting ceremony on May 29, 2026. The $440 million parking facility officially opened to travelers on June 1, 2026, expanding parking capacity and enhancing the overall airport experience.
H. J. Russell & Company supported the project through Program Management services, helping guide the successful delivery of this major infrastructure investment. The team worked alongside airport leadership, project partners, and stakeholders to support coordination, oversight, and execution throughout the development process.
Located adjacent to the Domestic South Terminal, the seven-story facility adds more than 7,000 parking spaces across approximately 3 million square feet, including the main deck and adjacent surface areas. The project was designed to provide travelers with greater convenience, improved accessibility, and advanced parking technology.
