Feb 16 Georgia International Convention Center Multipurpose Arena Breaks Ground
The City of College Park, Georgia International Convention Center (GICC), Atlanta Hawks Basketball Club, H.J. Russell & Company and joint venture partner Barton Malow, as well as other partners broke ground on College Park’s new multipurpose arena on February 12, 2018. The arena, named “Gateway Center @ College Park,” will be a sports and entertainment venue projected to bring significant economic impact to the area, with the Atlanta Hawks G League team confirmed as the destination’s anchor tenant.
