SUMMARY

Responsible for performing a range of duties involving budget planning, business and statistical analysis of projects, program budgets and measuring financial performance.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.  Other duties may be assigned.

Assist with developing organizational budgets with Project Managers.

Consolidate the authority budget for review.

Monitor spending and keeping the authority within its set budget.

Prepare reports and estimating future financial needs working along with Project Managers and Senior Management.

Defend budget recommendations with data and evidence-based analysis.

Proactively monitor and communicate project budgets, funding, and balances.

Participate in project audits of financial information.

Prepare weekly, monthly project specific reports for current needs for Project Team and Senior Management.

Provide month end reporting on project performance and prepare reports.

Review project costs vs original budgets and provide status updates.

Participate in year-end accrual process.

Performs work in a safe manner and actively encourages others to do the same.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

Associate or bachelor’s degree, or equivalent job experience with 10 years of progressive and relevant experience preferred.

Minimum of five (5) plus years’ experience on PMCM contracts for a project/program working on a client site and interacting with the internal/external customers on all levels of management. Experience with Project Management Information Systems.

Other Requirements.

Strong knowledge of Accounting, Economics, and Statistics with government agencies or state regulations.

Expected to work on problems of diverse scope where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors.

Excellent communication and presentation skills, both verbally and written.

Work well in team-oriented environment.

Good interpersonal skills know how to work with others to accomplish directed tasks.

Good decision-making skills; analytically driven and detail oriented.

Will be competent in prioritizing and working with little supervision; self-motivated and trustworthy.

Excellent organizational and time management skills.

Excellent knowledge and use of Microsoft Office suite of programs, Excel, and PowerPoint.
