Aug 12 H. J. Russell & Company Welcomes Michael Swick as New Vice President of Operations
We’re excited to announce that Michael Swick has joined H. J. Russell & Company as our new Vice President of Operations for the construction division.
In his new role, Michael will be responsible for the overall leadership and growth of Russell’s construction group. He will report directly to Chief Executive Officer, Michael B. Russell, and he joins the other members of the company’s senior leadership team.
Michael has more than 22 years of construction experience serving a variety of industries, including hospitality, multifamily, office, industrial, public works, athletic facilities, and retail throughout the United States. Most recently, he worked as Director of Sustainability and as Senior Project Manager for Choate, a $1B Atlanta-based commercial construction firm.

Originally from Massachusetts, Michael graduated from Wentworth Institute of Technology with a degree in construction management. He also attended Boston University, where he studied mechanical engineering. Michael is a LEED accredited professional and previously served as the president of the U.S. Green Building Council of Georgia. In 2011, he was recognized by Engineering News-Record (ENR) as one of the Southeast’s Top 20 Under 40.
